Two today, both from Yorkshire, which makes a change. However, both have been so far impossible to trace beyond a certain point.
7 November 1768
Baptism of my ggggg uncle William Hattersley at Carlton, Yorkshire, son of John Hattersley and Elizabeth Milner. He was baptised at Royston parish church, and in 1793 was married there to Mary Hemingway. And after that he disappears as nothing further can be found.
7 November 1869
Baptism of Elizabeth Wilson at Ossett, Yorkshire, daughter of my gg aunt Mary Green and Joseph Wilson. She is at Stanley Hall, Wakefield in 1871, where her father was a gardener and was still there is 1881 when her mother had become the hall keeper. Her father died in 1890, and in 1891 her mother was working as a monthly nurse but Elizabeth can’t be found. She is with her mother in 1901, though, in Wakefield where they are keeping a boarding house. I can’;t find her in the 1911 census, but the only death that looks as if it could be here is in 1963, when an Elizabeth Wilson age 94 died at Wakefield. If that is her it’d be interesting to know what she did for her last 60 years.
