Birth of my great aunt Charlotte Green at Hope Grove, Armley, Yorkshire, daughter of Joseph Green and Charlotte Senior. Her parents moved to Kirkstall not long after her birth, and she was baptised in 1904 at St Stephen’s, Kirkstall. Charlotte died at age 3 in January 1905 and was buried at St Stephen’s. Her father was a carpenter, and my mother said the family story was he made Charlotte’s coffin in the cellar and cried as he worked on it.
