3 March

An 8 times grandfather born in Yorkshire in 1644 during the English Civil War, a Marshall in Ayrshire, and a Senior in Royston was born and died.

3 March 1644
This is one of the earliest ancestors that I have managed to trace: my gggggggg (8 times) grandfather Matthias Beall was baptised at Brodsworth, Yorkshire, son of John Beall. His mother is not named on the baptism record but she was Jane Priestly. In 1667, at Brodsworth, Matthias married Sarah Priest and they had 7 children baptised at Brodsworth. Matthias died age 51 in 1694. The only other thing I know about him is that on the baptism records of two of his children it says he was of Pickburn, which is a small village next to Brodsworth Hall.

Baptism of of my ggggg aunt Marion Marshall at Kilmaurs, Ayrshire, daughter of Frances Marshall and Mary Gibson. Nothing else found for her, unfortunately.

3 March 1876
My gg aunt Ellen Senior, daughter of Edward Senior and Mary Simpson, was born and died on the same day, and according to the church record was the subject of a private baptism on that day.
